Wow, you are absolutely on fire, this is wonderful and I am so delighted to see a community led approach here. It would be great to work together on this.
I was excited to read this proposal. I would be happy to meet with you and hear more about it.
This looks like an exciting proposition. I’m sure the idea of a canal tour would be of interest to some bands – even a few larger ones. Starting in Edinburgh with a few stops along the way before finishing in Glasgow.
I think a good starting point for stage design would be to look at road trailer stages. If you can construct an on the water version of those then it would be great.
Just providing some feedback after thoroughly reading your document. First of all, congratulations on pulling together such a comprehensive introduction to your thinking.
I really like the concept and its really well presented. I have copied in a good friend of mine. He has delivered numerous events across the canal and will be able to provide some further thoughts.
This all looks very exciting ,and would be happy to have a chat with you about all the various ideas.
As a relatively new act, I'd love the exposure that the Floating Stage could give me. I think it's a brilliant idea. I grew up near the F&C canal and have lived near the Union Canal for 30 years and regularly run, cycle and kayak on or beside the canal and I think having this new venture makes the canals an even more beneficial area for the community.

Our dance school would definitely use a facility like this to put on our end of term shows.
As self employed musicians the floating stage could help our band get gigs, build a following in our local community and along the canal and hopefully help contribute to our income too.

It would be great if the stage could also have a mobile screen to show films ~ canal history and other local interest.
1) What a great idea ...... 2) This is a brilliant concept ....

The Victorian canals with their Old World ambience would be a splendid setting for our band. We also envisage collaborations with the active Steampunk societies in Edinburgh and Glasgow that could bring many others interested in the Steampunk scene from England and abroad. The Floating Stage could be the focus for fairs or music festivals.
